Europa Nostra Türkiye – Bizim Avrupa Derneği
Established in 2011 following the Europa Nostra Congress in Istanbul in 2010, Europa Nostra Türkiye acts as the local representative of the Europa Nostra centre. The association unites experts and cultural heritage defenders to support and promote the conservation of cultural heritage.
Europa Nostra Türkiye focuses on two main areas. First, it strives to amplify the impact of Europa Nostra’s activities in Turkey, including the Europa Nostra Awards, public initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Seven Most Endangered Programme in Turkey, and promoting policy proposals. Second, it aims to raise awareness and increase participation in the decision-making process regarding cultural heritage issues in Turkey. This includes publishing statements advocating for conservation and contributing to heriage policy-making processes.
