Museum Professionals Association was established in 2011 with the aims of promoting the development of contemporary museology and practices, enhancing the quality of services in museums to meet international standards, improving the profession and raising the professional knowledge and experience of museum experts as well as improving the working conditions. The Association has been working since its establishment in order to support the museology as a profession in Turkey, to develop social and cultural relationships among museum professionals, to ensure solidarity, and to conduct studies on identifying problems and producing solutions for the profession of museology. The Association aims to provide support and ensure necessary communication and solidarity for experts, academics, and other professionals working in the field of museology in accordance with the professional standards and ethical values set by ICOM.
