The Balkan Museum Network (BMN) is a professional platform dedicated to fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building among museum professionals across the Balkans. BMN’s mission is to preserve, celebrate, and share the region’s diverse cultural heritage while advocating for the role of museums in inclusive and sustainable development. BMN is a membership-based organization comprising museums, museum professionals, and NGOs committed to the promotion and protection of cultural heritage. As of 2025, BMN includes 400 members. The network facilitates collaboration through annual conference, training sessions, and grant scheme through Headley Southeast European Cultural Heritage Fund. Balkan Museum Access Group (BMAG) provides strategic consulting on accessibility and inclusion, helping museums develop more inclusive programs and services.
