NGO Sveti Stefan is a relatively young non-governmental association of citizens (founded in 2015), whose members are participants in the cultural and sustainable development of Sveti Stefan and the Paštrovići region. Our efforts are aimed at achieving quality cooperation with all institutions with the aim of improving the quality of life at all levels. Work on preserving tradition and cultural heritage, as well as preserving the environment. Work on improvement and arrangement of the ambient whole of Sveti Stefan for the development of tourism as well as for the development of sports and youth.
The Association’s vision is to make the Sveti Stefan neighborhood a better place to live. The mission of the Association is to encourage cultural and any other development through various cultural, activist, volunteer, development and entertainment programs. With the aim of achieving the vision and mission, the primary activities and activities of the Association are: trade and tourism, fight against addiction, social care for children and youth, institutional and non-institutional education, culture and protection of cultural heritage, sustainable development, sports, art, rule of law, environmental protection, public action ect.
Until now, the association has implemented a number of projects, independently or in cooperation with organizations, institutions and individuals, all of which were based on the voluntary volunteer participation of all participants and with the financial support of potential cooperation subjects and donors. Activities to date have been financially supported by private donors and sponsors.
The most significant project, for which we are recognized in the region, is the ,, Fešta od ruštula”. The event aims to preserve the tradition of Paštrović and promote tourism in the Sveti Stefan settlement. We can proudly point out that the event has become traditional and that every year it gathers local residents and tourists who enjoy tasting primarily ruštula, for which this region is recognized and for which the event got its name, as well as other traditional specialties of the Paštrovići region, accompanied by a rich cultural and entertainment program.
